Dr. Alexis Botkin, BSc MD FRCPC
Dr. Botkin completed both her undergraduate degree and medical school at the University of Manitoba. She then completed a 5 year dermatology residency within Canada’s largest dermatology training program at the University of Toronto. She was appointed as the chief resident in her final year of training. Her time at the University of Toronto provided world class education with some of the top experts in the field of dermatology. Dr. Botkin was recognized for her clinical performance, receiving multiple academic awards for her research and contributions to dermatologic education. She has also pursued additional training in medical aesthetics, and cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Botkin is a published author with scientific articles published in peer-reviewed medical journals, including the Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery, Dermatologic Surgery, and the Journal of the Dermatology Nurses’ Association.
She has presented at the Canadian National Dermatology Conference, wherein she was awarded the best presentation from the Canadian Professors of Dermatology.
Dr. Botkin is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) and a Fellow of the American Association of Dermatology (FAAD). She is a member of the Canadian Dermatology Association (CDA), the American Association of Dermatology (AAD), American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), and the Eczema Society of Canada Research Committee. Dr. Botkin has been an invited speaker at numerous dermatologic educational events.
